The audio isn't triggering on the train
Three things to check: the app has location permission (Settings → Privacy → Location on iPhone, Settings → Location on Android); your volume is up and the phone isn't muted; and the journey finished downloading before you lost signal. Stories are tied to places, not times — a quiet stretch of line simply means the next story is still down the track.
Do I need to download before I board?
Yes. Download the app and your journey while you still have Wi-Fi or mobile data. After that everything — audio, stories and GPS triggering — works with no signal at all.
How do I restore my purchases?
On a new or reset phone, open the app and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple or Google account you bought with — purchases belong to that store account.
How do I re-download a journey?
Anything you own can be downloaded again at no charge: find the journey in the app and tap download. If you removed it to free up space, your purchase is still yours.
It's narrating the wrong direction
The app detects your direction of travel once the train is moving — give it a few minutes after departure to settle on your heading. Every journey is narrated correctly in both directions.
Is it a subscription?
No. Every purchase is a one-time purchase — a single journey or the Rail Journeys Pass. There's nothing recurring to cancel.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone and Android phones — the app is free on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
I have an offer code
On iPhone: open the journey page → 'Have an offer code?' and redeem in the sheet, or redeem in the App Store; the journey unlocks automatically when you return to the app. On Android: redeem at play.google.com/redeem, then open the app.
