About this journey
Cross the Alps by the Bernina Express, a UNESCO World Heritage railway from Chur in the Swiss Alps to Tirano in Italy. Without a rack, the little red train climbs to 2,253 metres at the Bernina Pass — past the Morteratsch Glacier and the Lago Bianco divide — then spirals down the Brusio circular viaduct to the palm trees of the Italian valleys.
